HS2 project

We provided the transport for moving the equipment & piling to the HS2 high-speed rail project located at various sites around London and then moving the equipment back off site and returning to Preston.

The project is to create 9km of twin-bored tunnels between the new HS2 stations of Euston and Old Oak Common and continues from Old Oak Common, through 15km of twin-bored tunnels, to West Ruislip. The piles will be used to create a structure including Hampstead road bridge, Euston scissor box and Granby terrace bridge continuing with complex groundworks involved in creating a wall structure required by the HS2 project. The project will create a state of the art railway solution with great economic benefits to the North & the Midlands as well as being fundamental to the UK’s low carbon future.

Transport to the Loch Ness Project – Nov 2021

We provided the transport to move the equipment & piles to the village of Drumnadrochit, at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness. This entailed numerous of loads being shipped from Preston to Drumnadrochit and then collecting the equipment at the end of the job and transporting it back to Preston. The three week project was to install a retaining wall that will provide the resilient solution that this flooding threat required, safeguarding people and property in the Scottish Highlands’ area of Inverness and on the shores of its world-famous loch.

Banbury Res Job – October -2021

We provided the transport to move the equipment & piles that would create a cut-off wall to prevent the reservoir seepage that was occurring at the Banbury Reservoir and providing reassuring stability to the reservoir embankment and help preserve our Victorian and early Edwardian engineering heritage.

Upper Garnock flood protection scheme – June – 2021

We provided transport of equipment & piles to the site to create a permanent Flood Protection Wall bordering existing domestic properties along an existing highway (Beith Road). Supply and installation of approximately 380Te of Arcelor Mittal GU16N section Sheet Piles, 10.0m long, to form a 320 Lin m Long Permanent Flood Protection Wall at the toe of an existing Railway Embankment.

Fulham Football Club – July 2020

We supplied the transportation of equipment & piles to create a permanent steel pile basement as part of the riverside stand extension.

M1 Junction 23a -25 Smart Motorway – June -2018

We provided the transport to move the equipment & piles to site to be able to carry out the installation of a new hard shoulder & smart motorway, reduce congestion and smooth the flow of traffic to improve travel times and make journeys more reliable. Maximise motorway capacity while maintaining safety. Minimise environmental impacts.

Retaining wall & cofferdams – Rochdale – May 2016

We provided the transport to move the equipment & piles to the site. The project its self was to design, supply, installation of steel sheet piles to form a river frontage retaining structure and walkway support for the proposed Municipal Offices in Rochdale. In addition, 3 no. temporary earth retaining sheet pile cofferdams were designed and installed. The temporary sheet pile cofferdams facilitated the excavation and construction of the proposed Fuel Store structure and the attenuation / rainwater tanks.

Asda – Birkenhead – April 2014

We provided the transport to move the equipment & piles to the site, the project was to form a permanent sheet pile basement retaining wall providing both temporary and permanent retention for a car park to a new town centre store. The sheet piles were used to construct the proposed underground car park structure whilst also providing permanent support for the superstructure loads from the superstore.
